TS3, All Expansions, ultimate fix step 10 issue

Fresh install followed by the ultimate fix, and it will not let me use the updates as instructed as per step 10.

I've been trying to get this game to play for about two days straight now, and it seems to work fine at times, but once World Adventures gets installed the game stops working. Even if WA is then uninstalled I get different error messages.

I'm almost cheesed off enough to give up entirely. Please help.

This is the correct way to do it all (If you've already installed one of the games, just skip that step):

1. Install The Sims 3 base game. (If you've already installed the base game, ignore this step!)
2. Install Outdoor Living Stuff.*
3. Install Late Night.* (Ignore the Installation Guide which says you need to reinstall everything)
4. Install any other expansions you like. (For WA, just skip the "# Crack" folder)
5. Apply this fix: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-latest-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems
6. Your game should be working fine now!

* = These expansions must be installed in order to make the game work.

problem is, that's EXACTLY what I did, and it's still giving me that error when I open the launcher to update.

the only thing I can think of is that I'm not sure the original download (the game .iso files) came from games4theworld.

but I read elsewhere that shouldn't matter?

No, that isn't causing the problem.
In this case, I recommend you do a completely clean installation.

1. Uninstall all The Sims 3 games + other TS3 stuff.
2. RESTART your PC.
3. Start reinstalling using the exact order I gave in my first post.
