Base game

Hello,
I recently downloaded The Sims 3 - University Life. So is this the expansion I downloaded or the game and the expansion? I opened the installation guide and ran the sims3EP09Setup.exe and it tells me that I must have Sims 3 installed. So my question is do I need the base game? If so where can I get it?

It's just the expansion. You can get the base game from www.games4theworld.org/downloads

Search the page for "Sims 3" and it should be the last or second to last result. It's pretty obvious which one it is.

I need help desperatly.I have torrented base game and nes expansions.But i still cant re install my base game.I messed up on something that was so easy for me because i didnt have enough room on C: disk,i cut and pasted the entire Electronics art folder into G: disc.Could that be it?I could really use help through teamviewer from someone who knows what they are doing!Please help,i really want to play this game again.

Its not *nes expansions.I meant to write *all.By the way.You guys had
made it so easy for me in the past to do everything.What i had before i
messed up was base game 1.29 and expansions up to Mastersuite,which,at
the time was the latest.I had everything up to date...untill i saw that
so many other things came out :-)
