Sims 3 University Life No Academic Panel?

So, I downloaded Sims 3 University life, and it installed without any problems. Anyways, I loaded up my game, and I've been waiting to send my sims to university. (I'm using my legacy family, and I didn't want to skip their teen years) but anyways, I got my three sims enrolled in university, but when the university campus loaded, and they got moved into their new house, I realized that there's no Academics panel for any of them! They still have a career panel. There's no other problems with my game that I know of, and all my sims were unemployed when they enrolled in university. I had my three sims drop out of university, just to re-enroll them the next day, but there was still no academics panel. So... has anyone else had this problem? And can someone please tell me how to fix it? Thanks to anyone who can help!!

The career panel IS the Academics panel. The Academic takes over the career panel.

Yeah, but it didn't replace it like it's supposed to. It's still the same icon, and when I click it, all it says is 'unemployed' and there's no other panel for anything related to their education. I can't see their grade details, class schedules, or anything like that.

Then you have to wait for someone who can help you or google the problem to find a fix.

I've already googled it, and I can't find anyone else who's experiencing the same issue, but I was hoping someone here could help me.

Any mods or cc?

I have a lot of mods, but I moved them to my desktop while I updated my game/installed University Life... and I was having the same problem even before I put my mods back.

No, I haven't fixed mine. I've searched forums and apart from you and one other blog post Ive found no one with the same problem, the other said they were going to have to uninstall/rreinstall... but they never said if it worked or not. I'm probably going to reinstall soon if I want my sims to go to university :/ so that's my best suggestion, I'll let you know if it works when I try it, and if you try it first, tell me if it works ^.^

I don't have any CC installed.... I took it out while I installed university, and the problems were happening before I even put my mods and CC back.

took all mine out and store content started working just fine then

I had the same problem, turned out store fixes was causing it; when I deleted it things worked just fine. Waiting now for Admin to get our new download host up and going to reinstall his store fix to see if it happens again.

I don't have any store fixes though and I'm still experiencing the same issue

I have the same problem when i installed university so i do remove my Mods(stor fix) and cleared my caches and start with a new family because when i try with my registred family it didn't work so try to have a new household ... Wish you luck...

I've tried it with the anygame starter from mod the sims. I've removed all my Mods except twallans mastercontroller and error trap, but i'v still got all my cc(hairs/objects/clothing etc) and it seems to be running ok now. I always delete my caches before any game/ hope this helps.

How do you clear your caches?

go into Documents/ElectronicArts/TheSims3

then delete DC Cache folder
scroll down and delete

CASPartCache.package
compositorCache.package
scriptCache.package
simCompositorCache.package

and for good measure I also delete

socialCache.package

and any script error xml.'s too

I do this everytime before I play, if you use the standard EA launcher, make sure its not open or you wont be able to delete.

u delete the whole dc cache folder or just the content inside the folder?

whole folder, it will recreate itself after every load
