SEASONS: NO BUILD/BUY OBJECTS IN GAME

Good day, I downloaded The Sims 3 Seasons. It installed correctly, but the minute when I go to build/buy, the game start hanging and there are no objects to build with or to buy. What did I do wrong or what went wrong? Can you please assist me? I have tried the fixes, but it still does not work. I am desperate, please?

Backup and rename your "The Sims 3" folder in Documents/Electronic Arts. Start a new game and see if the problem is still there.
Good luck, but I suspect though that this is something more serious; something not caused by incompatible mods or custom content..so you might have to start a new savegame - or load an earlier backup of your save if you have one.

Thank you. I will try it. This is the first time I played the Sims 3 Seasons, my daughter is also experiencing the same problem.

Maybe, but then you probably could not install the game - and get it running. I assume from your answer that removing the Sims 3 folder didn't work ? Maybe the base game and/or one of your expansions did not install correctly. I'm afraid you have to try uninstalling everything and then reinstall it again.
And don't forget to re-apply the ultimate fix!

What is your base game version? (Hover over the base game icon in the bottom left of your icon to find out)

Hello,
No, but it is possible that something went wrong during installation. I'd recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the expansionpack (no need to uninstall the base game). Don't forget to restart the pc when you finish uninstalling to clear the registry.

Simply restart your pc after you uninstall the expansion. Then, reinstall.
