I want to download an expansion but i accidentaly did the last step of installing the base game?(the copy-paste one)

I was watching the youtube tutorial of how to install the base game correctly and i am stupid so i didn't read the whole thing so right now i replaced the TS3.exe file. Should i redownload and reinstall the whole game again?Or is there any other way to undone this?

The fix includes all the original files replaced by cracks, if you get into trouble installing expansions, but in should be no problem installing them because the files you replaced will be replaced with a updated version from the expansion.

i want to install night life which says that first i should uninstall and reinstall the base game and the listed expansions but not the cracks.
So if i understood correctly,i doesn't matter because it will finally be replaced by the night life one?

I think so. but I'm not 100% certain of this, so you better wait for someone else to confirm this.

Or you can risk it and see what happens.

actually in the beginning i ignored the first 8 steps which were about uninstalling the base game and the expansions but at the end night life didn'twork,neither the base game (if that's what you're telling). That's why i took it from the first step and started unsistalling and then reinstalling things

What you want to do is install the base game, use the manual patch to update all the way, then install any and all expansions you want (in any order). After that, you use the crack from the ultimate fix (nothing else is needed), reapply the manual patch, and the game should run fine (as fine as the sims ever does).
