Re: Custom Content Question
Depends.
If it's a .package, you have to create a Folder. Follow this tutorial.
If it's a .sims3Pack, just double-click on it and it will install automatically through the launcher.

Re: Custom Content Question
Hello,
You can doubleclick that too.
Alternatively, you can put multiple sims3packs in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads and install 10 at a time.

Re: Custom Content Question
Alternatively you can use .package files which don't take a decade to install, don't make you have to deal with the buggy launcher and don't make the game load slow as hell. Well actually they do still make it load slow as hell, but 2/3 ain't bad.
Anyway, create a "Mods" folder in My Documents > The Sims 3 and inside it create the following:
-Another folder, called "Packages"
-A text file (Notepad) called "Resource" with this inside it:
Priority 600
PackedFile Packages/*.package
PackedFile Packages/*/*.package
PackedFile Packages/*/*/*.package
PackedFile Packages/*/*/*/*.package
PackedFile Packages/*/*/*/*/*.package
PackedFile dbcss/*.dbc
PackedFile dbcss/*/*.dbc
Done, then just put your .package files in the "Packages" folder, it supports up to 4 (or 5?) sub-folders I think.
