EA is not customer-friendly
Hi Simmers,
Well I am planning to write a formal email addressing the issues of tricky customer services provided by EA (don't blame me, if u check the EA website, u will know what I mean) and the problems of lags, freezes and numerous glitches in The Sims 3. Ok, when I browse the EA website, I thought, " they have 'contact us' option. I think I can contact them easily by email," However, what happens next proves that my expectation is wrong. I clicked on Contact Us button. And then the screen shows 'ask a question' and something called "advsior" and there is some blank space for me to write a question. I said,"ok, let me ask a question". After I typed in a question and clicked enter, I found that they didn't provide any answers to the question. Rather they asked me to check the FAQ page or ask the advisor again. On the other hand, there is a button on bottom-right hand corner saying something like " i need more assistance" (or something like that). I clicked on that button coz I know FAQ nor "ask a question" cannot cover the problems I stated... And after that, I found it is connected to a customer representative. But that is useless because I have to be put on hold for a long time before a representative came and answered the questions. Moreover, they would try to say this can be solved by manual patch provided by them, which I know the problems cannot be solved by it.(because I tried contact a representative before, this is what I found from them). Well, but there isn't even an option, " contact by email". I totally think I lose hope of EA and I demanded EA an answer but i knew they wouldn't.
BTW, EA created Answer HQ, which sucks coz it is a forum for "experts"-the customers in fact, to answer other customers' questions. They don't work for EA though. EA tried to transfer the responsibility of fixing the customers' issues to the public, which is irresponsible of them.

Not to mention cheap! They make a huge amount of money, but they let their customers help each other for free.

Re: EA is not customer-friendly
I'd wish you luck but it would be a waste of luck, many have been where you are now, none have succeeded. Plus you're part of the problem, so I don't see how you could be part of the solution.
There's only one way EA will change but for some reason nobody is willing to make this small sacrifice for the greater good:
STOP BUYING THEIR !
Seriously, is it that hard? And when I get up in your face with this you go all "hey u soviet fur, it's mai money and i do what i want with it" on me, yeah, except what you do with it keeps the biggest corporation of crooks and cheats in juice, which FYI affects all of us.
Sorry

Sorryif I'm being harshfor being an a**hole but that's the truth, the only people who are to blame for the fact that EA keeps making fools of us all are their faithful customers.
Then why do u wish the release of The Sims 4 (BLA)? Read the comments I wrote in "Open for Business Petiton" post!!
DECLARATION: I never purchase any products from EA's stores.

Re: EA is not customer-friendly
Yeah I misread that sorry.
Anyway I don't see what this has to do with the release of The Sims 4. I won't buy it lol. Last EA game I bought was Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit. Pre-ordered even, what a moron I was. Anyway that was before the whole Origin thing, what makes you think I'd buy an EA game now, when it's sold only on the crappiest platform to have ever existed?
cat2006house wrote:It is not on sale anymore, I am afraid. I realise I
have to pay at least $16 for a stuff pack or an expansion pack. They
are not worth that much...

Oh, we had an "EA Answer HQ" long before them. It's called "Games4theworld", you know.

Re: EA is not customer-friendly
Is there any big corporation which IS customer-friendly ? I doubt that.
As for that "EA Answer HQ", I've looked briefly into that and the visual structure of that forum (don't know if that's the right expression in English) is just bad; how can one actually motivate him/herself reading through that for extended periods ?! Concerning the content, I've seen lots of topics, in which someone asks for a solution to a problem, only to say later on something like "Oh, hey thanks. I found the solution myself!"; with no further explanation .
Well, I hope the EA employees responsible for that forum get paid enough for that.

You don't say, I thought it was for selling drugs to children -.-
Apparently EA is getting rid of online passes... should optimism be kicking in? Cause I'm not feeling anything.
