Seasons won't show up on launcher. [SOLVED]

Hi, so earlier today, I installed the two EPs Seasons and University Life from games4theworld according to the guide and applied the Ultimate Fix correctly. University installed fine. I had a few problems with Seasons at first with the Leeme.txt thing but I solved it and installed as normal. The thing is, after I opened The Sims, Seasons didn't show up as one of the EPs even though University, which is installed after Seasons,did. I searched a bit around and didn't find any solutions fitting to my situation. I updated the game to 1.63, did everything according to the guide. My Mac is also up to date: Mountain Lion 10.8. Help is greatly appreciated.

Well, I read Phoebe's thread and tried to update to patch 1.63 via launcher but it didn't work? I keep getting pop-ups saying "There are no patches available for download" and "AN error occured while applying the update". The version of The Sims 3 I torrented was recommended on the mac download guide so that must have not been the problem. Anyone knows what's going on?

Did you update according to the mac guide? You have to make sure that you don't update from the pop up prompts.

Go to "Game Updates" tab. If the option for 1.63 is not avaliable, click the refresh button until it appears.  You should then be able to click the "Update Now"  button.

If during the patch download it stops due to an error, just try it again until it patches. I get that problem once in a while but after a few tries it will work.

I updated with the manual patches on my first game, not this reinstalled one. I've been trying to update from the launcher's tab but it won't work  Here's a screen shot of the pop-ups:

Not to worry, I have come across this issue for my own mac. What I did was:

- Do a FULL and CLEAN uninstall.
- Install the base game again.
- Then, try to update again from the launcher.

Do give it a shot and let me know if it works

I'm sure I deleted every sims related files from my Library but the popups still show up. I even redid the process several times. Is it alright if I save Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 on my desktop and delete the one in Documents? Cause I want to save my Sims, CCs and Saves

Yes you can do that! Try to save it under another name though

Okay, so I think the problem was that I didn't unistall The sims correctly? I didn't use the Unistaller because it kept getting unresponsive so I just moved everything to the trash and delete it from there. How do I fix it now? Sorry for bothering you so much

No worries! Just follow these simple steps:

1) Remove the "Electronic Arts" folder in your Documents.
2) Go to this link: http://bluebellflora.com/the-sims-3-on-a-mac/how-to-do-a-clean-uninstall-and-reinstall-on-a-mac/
3) Follow the instructions stated in the link and remove all the related files.

Hi, I finished reinstalling and applying the fix earlier today and just wanted to update that everything works fine now, albeit slowish but that's probably because of the Nraas mods I use. Thank you for your help!
