First topic message reminder :

Hello Helpers,

Thank you all for your help on the Forum!
Would you like to see a little preview of the website we're working on behind the scenes?
We plan on releasing a beta very soon, so people can start downloading some of the stuff. I'll keep adding new pages, while the website is in beta.

We'd like to see what everyone thinks first.

Not exactly sure what you mean there, can you please post a screenshot of that? If you mean it's too much to the end of the page, it's because that's the page I'm currently working on. Wait, let me update the preview, click the link again/refresh the page in about 15 minutes.
As for the greeting text, I assume the logo is cut off too. If it is, then what's the use of centring the welcome text? (As it'll be cut off too)

But don't worry about the size, if you guys can give me a resolution, I can optimize the pages. 22" monitor resolution?

You can probably take the font size down by 2 and still have it large enough to read comfortably. My screen res is 1600x900 and I can read the page from across the room without my glasses, which I like by the way, so decreasing the font by 2 should let all the sentences fit nicely. I would also center the fixed width text like the title "Neighborhoods", the pictures, item names and DL links as it would give the page a nice structured look IMO. Smile

Or, make the sections collapsable like Wikipedia.

Let's see, Shamrock: indeed, like Lady ElDi said, the "More..." buttons do that, but the "Neighbourhoods" page is not finished yet, hence the links not working (yet). Check out the other finished pages.

While I'm not an expert in this area of law, I suppose you are obliged (by law and/or your webhost) to put up such a notice ? Or does this notice only have "practical functions" (i.e. to prevent people from contacting Games4TheWorld in matters which "belong" to EA) ?

I'm asking this because it does create an entertaining effect, in my opinion, to provide download links for pirated stuff and at the same time write a notice saying "Game content and materials copyright EA". Or was that really just meant humorously ? But then, this is not a big issue for me.

I've briefly checked the spelling, and everything seems OK, but for one small thing maybe: "Maffia 2"---> the correct spelling in Italian and English (I'm not sure about other languages though) would be "Mafia" with one "f". Or did you deliberately misspell it ? (maybe for some practical reasons I can't think of right now ?). But that's again a small issue.

Dracos, I didn't lower the font size, but fixed the overlapping text.

If you all agree, I'll officially release this one tonight! (And open a new "Feedback here" topic, so people can post their feedback for the new website)

Ps. Still need to fix the "Neighbourhoods" images, but will do that before release. As well as fixing some oversized files.

The "home" button on the keyboard will do that as well Wink

Yes, that would do, but to be really honest... that's going to take another hour or two to add on all the pages. And personal experience thought me that even if the buttons are there, people don't use them, but just scroll to the top of the page instead. Might be able to add something else though, will look into it.
