Sims 3 not saving after island paradise install.

so ive had to keep my laptop on for 3 days because every time i try to save my game is says i cannot save while traveling. Only thing is i am not traveling thus i cannot save my game. my nrass mod is up to date and i havent had problems until i installed island paradise.

Hello,
Have you already tried clearing the cache files in My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 ? Delete the following stuff:
-CASPartCache.package
-compositorCache.package
-scriptCache.package
-simCompositorCache.package
-socialCache.package
-plus the contents of the folders "WorldCaches" & "Thumbnails"
Have you also created a new savegame, to see if you have the same problem there ?

i tried to delete the cache but i cant cause my game is open do you know if there is a manual way to save the game
