Just a random question

Does the new buffet table work only in a resort? Because I tried to place one in my sims kitchen and it won't work. When i try to click it it says "no interaction available", but it works perfectly in my sim's resort.

Doesn't work at home for me ether.

Oh, that's shame. I would love my family to dine together.
