Disc Authentication Failure after Late Night Install

Before installing Late Night, I had the base game, Ambitions, Generations and Seasons running just fine. (Base Game and Ambitions I downloaded through Origin, the rest I got from here.)
I then downloaded and installed Late Night, and then re-applied the Manual Patch and Ultimate Fix. But when I start up the game this time, I get a disc authentication failure. How come?

Hello,
Are you sure you unzip the torrent files with WinRaR only? Since other unzipping tools may cause issues. By the way, the directory of applying the #crack of the latest Ultimate Fix should be C:\Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. If these doesn't work, attempt a clean reinstallation using Revo uninstaller and try applying manual patch and the Ultimate Fix afterwards.

Yes, I did unzip using WinRAR. And I did apply the Fix to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. The game didn't run after that.
However, I did try applying the Fix to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and the game seems to run now, except that now my Sims 3 Launcher crashes and I have to open the game by double-clicking the TS3.exe file in the Electronic Arts base game directory.
If something goes wrong then I probably will do a complete re-install.
