Sims 3 UL & IP. [SOLVED] Empty Sims 3 UL & IP. [SOLVED]

Post by Guest Sun 07 Jul 2013, 07:15

I sent my household to the University but it has been Tuesday (sim day) but they still don't have classes. I checked the Class Schedule and it's empty. Can anyone help me? I removed the mods but still the same. My game is updated to 1.55 and has IP exp.

Hello,

If you have taken out your mods already, then I'm afraid there is only one thing you can still try: namely an un-install of the "University expansion". Before you do that though, you should travel back home (to avoid possible nasty surprises).

Now have a look at this here: http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS3_Uninstall. Remember that you only have to un-install "University".

After that, rename the folder "The Sims 3" in My Documents/Electronic Arts. And then you can re-install "University" again. Before you start the game, rename that "The Sims 3" folder back to its original name.

One more thing for the future: before you patch your game and/or install an expansion, you should rename that folder, and before starting the game, rename it back again. Installed mods/CC during installation might have the potential of ruining your whole installation - this means that afterwards, taking out that Sims 3 folder won't help anymore. Wink

Still does not work. Do I need to apply the ultimate fix again after installing?

Hello,

Yes. And please make sure your Sims game is up-to-date (1.55.4).

Interesting...

Try removing the "store fixes", if you have these in your Mods/Packages folder.

My store fixes are at the overrides folder. Huh, since I installed Island P., I didn't update the store fixes. Bt the items still work perfectly with moodlets and functionality. I do have the ccmerged.package @ the mods folder

Hello,

Follow both instructions in the instruction guide of the latest store fix (updated on 7/7). You need to put the package files in the Mods/Packages folder too. Otherwise, some of the store items/moodlets/etc... won't work.

But it works perfectly. I'm using kt's fixes tho. I might try the fixes here

EDIT: It works now aftr I updated the store fix. Very Happy

Helper edit: OK, I consider the problem solved; while our solutions didn't work, you at least found the "right path" yourself - and that's the most important thing. I will close this topic now.
