The Sims 3 Ultimate sims basic sims problem. [SOLVED]

Dear people,

Somehow the crack doesn't work. I can't upgrade like this to a newer verion. The sims starting screen gives me a lightly visible sims 3 icon in the left down corner. When i hold my mouse on the icon it gives my a popup screen that displays ''Sims 3 0.0.0.0''. What could be wrong? The game doen't work at all. I tried to instal the files to every possible place.

Did you install at least one of the following expansions: Pets, Town Life Stuff, Generations?

I re-instaled generations, it's working know. Thanks
