Cheat screen won't come up? Empty Cheat screen won't come up?

So I've downloaded a bunch of expansion packs via torrent, and I wanted to make a rich family. I read that you can make a cheat window appear to give the Sims more money. The problem is, when I enter the command to make the cheat console appear, the game stops, but the console doesn't appear. Anyone know how to fix this?

Hello,

I think you have pressed the wrong buttons. Hold Ctrl+Shift+C to open up the console manual. Type "testingcheatsenabled true" and then enter. Hold the same keys again and this time type "motherlode" and enter and you will gain 50000 simoleons each time you hold Ctrl+Shift+C and type motherlode.

Hello,

Just a small thing to add to cat2006house's tip: if you mistype testingcheatsenabled true, you won't get an error message saying something like "unknown command"; so after that, if you type in another cheat, it won't work, even if you spelled that other cheat correctly.

You first need to type in testingcheatsenabled true correctly in order to make most other cheats working. Wink

That's not needed for "motherlode" though.


On some systems, you have to use a different key combination. Try [CTRL]+[SHIFT]+[WINDOWS KEY]+[C].
