I have yet to update to 1.50 since the ultimate fix isn't out and Aurora Skies works fine for me. I just made sure to back up my saves and started a new game just to be sure. Haven't had any issues yet.

I downloaded and installed Aurora Skies and it works fine for me on 1.48. Don't know where all this "you need to update to 1.50 for town to work came from."

v1.48 here and playing Aurora Skies on PC right now
only because I did not see a post from Admin/Mods anywhere saying to wait for 1.50 patch before installing Aurora Skies.

I actually figured since it was uploaded (without warning) it was safe.

I have no problem with game-play at all.
The hot-air balloon works, aurora borealis at night, etc.-- it's all good.

However, there is no fire station in the town at all and the Tiny Prodigies Learning Center is not in the town (it's in the Community Lots bin).
Really, no fire station?! I don't know if this:
...is normal for Aurora Skies? ...will be fixed with 1.50 patch? ...is the woefully expected EA oversight? ...is just my game?


If it's not just my town that's borked-
Just a reminder about placing these "missing" lots, don't forget that you can change any residential lot to community lot or vice versa:
Edit Town>click the "Select" arrow & click on the lot>select the 1st circle (half house/half park bench icon)>make your changes @pop-up>"check" to save

1. I actually tried and installed the world without updating and for me as well, It does work. I just have an issue trying to find the custom wallpaper.

2. Some of the towns dont come with everything already on the map. Sometimes you have to add the things yourself, So its normal for them to be missing a Fire station. I believe it was Lucky Palms that didnt have a fire station that needed to be added.

3.The Tiny prodigies learning center is an added bonus to the world. It is only accessible for the Gold Version.
It wouldnt be on the map because that would mean EA would have to make two seperate worlds but of the same thing..which doesn't make any sense. The Learning center is Simliar to the Gothique library or the Casino. Yes, its included with the gold version but its considered store content and not apart of any world. It can be added to any world that you want.

Who says that town need 1.50 patch, i am on 1.48. and works like charm
