Sorry if i posted in the wrong area ,but if I did feel free to move it for me ^^ Anyways i'm about to buy the Sims 3 base game and i'm wondering will the installation process still be the same if I have a pirated ver of Sims 3? Would I just install the retail copy of Sims 3 normally and proceed to follow the steps in "How to install The Sims 3 correctly" thread?

Yes. You can mix bought and pirated games as long as they are all disk games (no Steam).
You will have to apply the Ultimate Fix from this website as long as you have at least one pirated game installed.

Hello,

Please follow the instructions here. If you bought the base game via Origin, the correct directory of Step 4 should be C:\Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. If you purchased the base game via Steam, I am sorry to tell you that the base game are not compatible with pirated expansion packs/stuff packs
or the legit disk versions of them.
