Hey

I never downloaded games before this, I have the base sims 3 game downloaded from the actual bought disc and I'm too broke to buy the expansions, I'm having the "Unable to Start Game, Service Initialization failed (0x0175dcbb)" pop up. My sims is up-to-date, I've looked through this site up and down and tried all the advice you guys have given. But nothing has worked so far. >n<

oh and the expansions I have are Seasons, University Life & Island Paradise.

Did you by any chance have the sims 3 installed on this computer at some other point in time?

Hello,

It seems that you may have done something wrong during installing. Even if your game is up to date, can you apply the manual patch? And have you dragged and dropped the content of #crack folder the latest Ultimate Fix to C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin after patching?

Nope, open the registry and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Sims
Delete any folder which corresponds to a game that is not installed on your laptop.
