Sims 3 Download on Origin keeps freezing

Well, I'm trying to install Sims 3 Starter Pack but it keeps freezing, for example it goes to 13% but then freezes. I have clicked 'Cancel Download' (it also freezes there) then close and re-open Origin and click download for it to continue and freeze in a few minutes. How do I make it so that it doesn't freeze?

My suggestion ? It will take some time and work but you could try to get rid of Origin and all the other stuff that comes with it. So: un-install all of this stuff. You can also have a look at this here for some help on properly un-installing the game: http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS3_Uninstall
Then you re-download all the Sims (3) games from here: http://www.games4theworld.org/downloads.html Then you re-install everything without this "Origin".
I'm sorry I can't give you a quicker and easier solution, but this "Origin" thing very often only causes trouble.

When I click on the url to download, it says 'Not Found'.

These are so-called ".torrent" downloads. You need a "Bittorrent" client to download that stuff; for example, google for "utorrent" and then install that.Trains Power wrote:Oh it works now, may I ask what it downloads?
Afterwards, go again to that site I posted - click on the magnet symbol. Now a windows will pop up (probably) - there, select "open with utorrent". Then utorrent will open, you then have to click on "OK" at the bottom and the download will start.

I clicked on a magnet and after that I saw a window open and when I clicked on 'Launch Application' nothing happened.

The best way to download torrents is by bittorrent clients, it is free and cool. There is more information about downloading torrents so you can have more knowledge about torrents:
Another way to download torrents is by browser clients such as ''Zbigz.com'' & ''Bytebx.com'' you can have free accounts with their services but they are limited, if you want premium services you have to pay :/
Also there is Seedboxes, a seedbox is a place to seed your torrents or to download torrents with high speed up to 100/s or 1GB/s. In past, seedboxes gave free trail but now there is no free trails so you have to pay to get one.

Well actually I'm not comfortable with torrent downloads, is it not illegal? Another thing is I don't really want more downloads, my computer is weirdly getting slow.

So you have "utorrent" installed now ? And when that small 'launch application' window pops up, you should normally see "utorrent". Right Click on the magnet thing and ''Copy link location'' then open uTorrent and press ''Ctrl + U'' and paste the link and then click OK.Trains Power wrote:
