Gaming Laptop or Graphics Update?

Gaming Laptop or Graphics Update?
Hi!
I need help on whether a Gaming Laptop would be best to buy or just updating mine (as well as the cheapest). I would have to get someone professional or a friend who I knows what to, to put the graphics/extra stuff to make it better in.
Also I have no idea what graphics/processor is good or excellent or terrible so I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to Graphic/Processor specs.
I currently have a Acer Aspire 5733 with Intel Core i3-370M processor and Intel HD Graphics (3000 I think). My dad knows less than me and I think the HD made him think they're good graphics when I have got the idea they're alright for older games and general operating system graphics.
To buy:
There's a laptop I saw for £599.99 (currently priced):
17.3in Asus X75 Blu-Ray Laptop
Processor: Intel Core i5
Memory: 8GB
Graphics: NVIDIA GT 720 - 2GB Dedicated
Hardrive: 1TB
Its rated 4/4 for gaming, internet, social and music by Argos (saw it in their catalog P:
Then theres graphics to put in and/or stuff to make it better.
I have no idea what DDR will fit and whats best to add. Do I need to improve graphics and my processor or is it just getting a new laptop altogether as changing both of those is similar to getting another laptop. I don't really know whats good to get for either.
So any help is appreciated. ^u^

This laptop has a good processor for gaming. However, I suspect NVIDIA GeForce GT 720M isn't suitable for playing 2013 video games with the best graphics (probably you can only play these games with low settings). Memory is enough for gaming. The problem is GPU.
Instead of paying a large sum of money to upgrade hardware on your current pc, why don't you buy another pc?
Read this to find out more abut gaming pc: http://www.laptopmag.com/gaming-laptops.aspx
I am a noob too when it comes to hardware. So if there is anything wrong in my comment, feel free to correct me.

Re: Gaming Laptop or Graphics Update?
Around £600 is a budget so not too sure what's best on a different gaming laptop. I'll check this link out!
Thanks for the hasty reply.

Hello,Dracos66 wrote:Layloria's laptop is easily upgraded for about $135.00 US
Draco told me that. Maybe you can try to upgrade your hardware at a considerable price.

I will ask Dracos66 for more details.
//EDIT
I think you will need to upgrade GPU of your pc since you cannot play games like FarCry 2 with high settings.

Re: Gaming Laptop or Graphics Update?
Is it possible to upgrade my GPU?
I heard some Laptops have their GPU's soldered onto other parts.
