Can't update my game? [SOLVED]

I have un-installed all of my custom content and removed all my mods and it won't let me update my game. Not through the launcher or the manual patch?

Did you get any error messages during patching? What do you mean by "it won't let me update my game"?

Sorry for not making myself clear. When I go to patch it goes through all the steps but near the end while it is updating it gives me this error message,"Update Error: Invalid File Found" .

This error can be easily fixed by patching manually (again). Download the manual patch here and try again: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v157-fix-manual-patch.
