Sims installer icon missing Empty Sims installer icon missing

Hi! I have the sims 3 deluxe cd given by my friend. I was able to install it on my windows laptop but when I tried to insert the cd on my macbook, I could not find its installer icon. Please help me. Sad I find the cd very helpful since when I installed it on my windows laptop, I didn't incur any problem. I didn't have to patch or crack it. I feel like I can install only if I have the installer icon. Or are there any alternatives? Sad Thanks!

Does the Box for Sims 3 Deluxe have A windows and Mac compatible logo on there? Should be on the front, bottom left corner.

The Sims 3 Deluxe Edition? Is it downloaded from R.G. Catalyst? If yes, I am sorry to tell you that this Edition is not compatible with The Sims 3 update. Uninstall it with Your Uninstaller Pro (download it from www.games4theworld.org) with Super Mode. Reinstall the ones from www.games4theworld.org and follow this guide: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly.
