Can't start Sims 3! [SOLVED]

I recently got a new computer (Toshiba, Windows 7 64-bit) and downloaded the Sims 3 from your site (including expansion packs). I installed everything according to the *must read correct installation* guide, but I got an error:

Unable to start game:
Service initialization failed (0x039e8474)

So I figured I must have done something wrong, and uninstalled, restarted the computer, and reinstalled everything again. I got the same error. Also, when I open the Launcher, at the bottom of it, where it tells you what expansion packs are installed and what version they are, the base game and Generations were dimmed. Moused over, the base game read "The Sims 3 version 0.0" and Generations read "The Sims 3 Generations expansion required".

Hi there, likely you have placed the crack in the wrong location. You only need to use the generations crack if you have installed generations. The generations crack goes into the base game location, not into the generations. For a more in depth explanation please download my guide or view it in the fix section of the forums.
