Hello,
Well... I just finished downloading the Sims 3: World Adventures torrent. I have all the other expansions installed except for this one. So, when I try to install this expansion.. this shows up:

Its because you didn't edit the registry most likely. What expansions are you trying to install?

Well, the Sims 3 I have is the one I bought when it first came out. I've installed all of them but the only one I'm currently trying to install is the Sims 3: World Adventures. That's all.

Hello,
I think you have to change the SKU version in the registry, try this:
open "Start", type "regedit" in the search box and
then press [ENTER].
When you're in the Register Editor, navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Sims > The Sims 3 OR IT MAY BE IN:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > Sims > The Sims 3 (Windows 7, Vista)
4Here you'll see a file called "SKU". Double click on it and change the value - which
should be "2" or "7" - to "1" and press "OK". Now close the Register Editor.

If what lady eldi suggest doesn't fix your problem try uninstalling everything and taking a look at my install guide. I ussually recommend my own guide to others because you do not have to edit the registry or do anything you normally wouldn't have too.

Well I checked and it was already on 1. I re-read that installation guide and it said two. So I guess I'll change it to two and once installed I'll change the Sims: WA to 1 and the base game back to 1. Now it's installed, thank you very much.(: I need to read more carefully next time...

It's not that your guide doesn't require you to change the SKU. It's something randomly.
When I installed The Sims 3 and all expansions the first time, I hád to change the SKU code, but when I reinstalled my Windows and wanted to install The Sims 3 + All expansions again, I didn't need to change the SKU either.
The best is just to do change it, in order to avoid any problems.
For now, problem solved, topic closed. Have fun playing!
