Game stuck on black screen after launch

Hello.
Recently, my game's been having the ''stuck on black screen after launch'' problem a lot more frequently than usual. It occasionally DOES play correctly, but that's a very rare instance. For example, it plays if I don't try running it for a few days or if I delete a few larger files and folders from my harddrive. I HAVE tried deleting the .tmp files from the CCCahe folder in My Documents and it didn't help. I have the following SPs/EPs:
-World Adventures
-Late Night
-Pets
-Generations
-Showtime
-Ambitions
-Seasons
-University Life
-Supernatural
-Island Paradise
-Town Life Stuff
-Fast Lane Stuff
-High End Loft Stuff
-Outdoor Living Stuff
-70s, 80s & 90s Stuff
-Movie Stuff (thus latest game version, ultimate fix applied)
I have alot of CC and a few mods. Playing TS3 without CC/mods is NOT an option, as I am not the only one who plays on this computer. Reinstalling the base game might be an option, unless CC gets uninstalled.

Going to My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Saved sims and deleting a file called "downloadedsims.index" seemingly helped for some people here, so you can try that too.

Otherwise you probably have to try "filtering" all the CC yourself, this means (in very simplified terms):

1) Making a backup of your "Mods" folder, and then removing all mods/CC in that folder temporarily; and making sure that especially the mods are compatible with your base game patch version. Then start the game and see if it runs. If it does, put back your stuff into the Mods folder one by one. Keep in mind that this is usually a secure method, but it can be very tedious if you have lots of stuff. Therefore, you might even try "Delphy's dashboard" (google for that). This tool can help find out conflicts between mods/CC.

2) If the problem is with one of your installed ".sims3packs" though, it's more difficult. You can try guessing what file could cause the error, and then delete it with the launcher. But again, this is very tedious if you don't have any clue and if you have lots of files.

If you want to "keep" all the CC, you will have to go through all of this manually, more or less.
