Problem updating 1.57. [SOLVED] Empty Problem updating 1.57. [SOLVED]

Ok, so I'm actually having multiple problems here, but it all started with the new update.

I have most of the expansion packs and stuff packs installed (the only ones I didn't have was the Katy Perry and 80s stuff) and everything was working fine until I updated it to v 1.57. First I tried to install it via launcher but it gave me that annoying error that an invalid file was found. So I updated it manually and followed your steps. I did the ultimate fix but the error "There was an error during startup. Please see the Log for more details" appeared. So I tried fixing it by watching your "The Sims 3 Error during Startup" but I never uninstalled any expansions, so all the expansions files that show up on the registry are the ones I have installed.

I REALLY don't want to uninstall and install EVERYTHING again (mainly because this idiot here deleted all the downloads when I installed them, so I would have to download all the expansions again) so I decided to uninstall just the supernatural expansion (because I don't really like it) to see if it changed anything. I went to registry and the file for the supernatural expansion disappeared so the problem isn't that. But then I went to the launcher and it's like I uninstalled all the expansions after Showtime! Which I didn't, I only uninstalled Supernatural. If I go to my computer files, all the other expansions are there.

It's asking me to insert the disk for showtime and as you can see below, the icons for the expansion/stuff packs after showtime are faded, which means they're not installed?? But they are! If I hover the mouse over them, it says "requires [name of the expansion]", I'm not sure what that means??

Is there anything I can do to fix this, without having to uninstall everything? Sad I'm sure I did something I shouldn't, I really suck at these things, so please go easy on me. Thank you.

Hello,

Repeat the steps from 2 to 4 here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly

This basically means:

1) Apply the "manual patch"
2) Copy the two files from the #crack folder in the Ultimate fix (NOT the #crack from the expansion). Paste the two files into the base game location C:\Program files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. You need to "replace the existing files".

And that's it ! Smile
