Sims 3 Crashing. [SOLVED]
So recently after facing some problems installing sims 3 it appears theres no end to the problems. the games loads fine on my mac, i can load up a neighbourhood and get as far as CAS and thats where it crashes. game play also results in the same issue, i basically can't even play it for more than 5 minutes I've lowered the graphics settings to see if that would help, then since i've done that the game now just freezes on the loading screen O_o a search shows that this is a common issue for mac users due to the game not being native to mac but so far no fixes or solutions. Has anyone managed to fix this? or at least get the game to the point of at least being able to play for more than 5 minutes?

Hello!
To enable me to help you more efficiently, please answer the following questions:
1) While trying to install the game, did you perhaps re-install it at least once?
2) How long have you had your mac?
3) How much memory to you have left in your mac?
4) Have you ever defragmented your mac?

Re: Sims 3 Crashing. [SOLVED]
Hey there,
Your mac is pretty fresh and new so it shouldn't be a system problem. In any case to answer your first post, I can play Sims 3 on my mac for hours without any issues. And I am only running on 10.6.8 So we should still be able to tackle the issue somehow.
I would like you to try this:
Navigate to Finder>Documents
Delete this folder : Electronic Arts
* This will remove any saves you have. But seeing as you have not really had the chance to play much I believe it is fine? Otherwise you can back up the folder in another place other than Documents before proceeding
Do let us know the outcome

Re: Sims 3 Crashing. [SOLVED]
I've removed the folder and so far I've managed to successfully get through CAS, load a house and started to play it . So its probably my CC I've removed my mods a while ago, so its just hair and clothes left and I can't imagine why they would cause a problem O_o
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Sims 3 Crashing. [SOLVED]
Sorry should have mentioned that but i didn't think just hair and clothes would cause any problems. Its just store stuff i have now, and the only mod i had was NRaas story progression, which used to cause problems on my pc tbh so i got rid.
Pretty much it now ^_^ although i'm expecting it to break on me now

I'm sure it will be fine! Well if the cc and mods are incompatible they will cause problems
Happy simming and don't hestitate to ask again if you have problems!
