Permission Error. [SOLVED] Empty Permission Error. [SOLVED]

Post by Guest Sat 19 Oct 2013, 03:06

Alrighty, so I was getting the please insert disk error after the latest patch install so I went in to update the ultimate fix stuff again(this typically happens and the fix works like a charm) However, when I went to go place the base game files in the Bin folder the TS3W went in fine but the TSLHost.dll file didn't. It popped up saying destination folder access denied. I actually haven't encountered this before, any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

Try this:

go to your "The Sims 3" base-game folder, which is usually C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. Now, right-click on that "Bin" folder and select "properties". Then go to the "Sharing"-tab and click on the button "Advanced sharing". Now click on the button "Permissions" and mark the box "Full control". Click on "Apply", then "OK" (close all windows by doing that). And now, try again to copy over the two #crack files from the Ultimate fix (replace the existing files !).

If that doesn't work, you might have to repeat the process with the "parent" folders: this means you should go on with
C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game, after that with C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 and so on. But normally, it should work if you only do this with the "Bin"-folder.

Another possibility is that you completely shut down your anti-virus software before copying over the crack files.

Good luck ! Smile
