I'm downloading the game and the expantions from cero, I had read this guide: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly
I'm confused about the steps 2 and 3:

2. After you've installed all the games you want, RE-DOWNLOAD and RE-APPLY this manual patch: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v133-fix-manual-patch (The Mac version of the manual patch can be downloaded HERE)

3. When it finished updating your game to the latest version, RE-DOWNLOAD the latest version of our Ultimate Fix:

My question is: Why you need to Re-Download the manual patch and ultimate fix (if you have the latest version)?

I ask this because I don't want to mess up the instalation, because of this:



DO NOT SKIP ANY STEPS AND READ EVERY STEP VERY CAREFULLY. DO EXACTLY AS WRITTEN BELOW, EVERY SINGLE STEP, BEFORE POSTING THAT IT DOESN'T WORK!

Hello,

Even if your game is "updated" already, it doesn't hurt if you re-download the manual patch (and re-apply) it. And after that comes the Ultimate fix. If you re-run the manual patch after installing, this can correct errors in the game.

But of course, if you have the patch from somewhere else (it is available from EA !), then you don't have to re-download it from here...
