Wiki Error

Hi, I'm kind of a tech noob and uhh, I'm having probs connecting to wikipedia. It always say something like Error 504 Gateway Timeout whenever I open a link from wiki. I could visit the site a week ago but now, I can't. Any help would be appreciated.

This error usually is the problem of not receiving timely response from a server to another server.

There are multiple ways to solve it:

1. Retry the web page by clicking the refresh/reload button or trying the URL from the address bar again. Even though the 504 Gateway Timeout error is reporting an error outside of your control, the error might only be temporary.

2. Come back later. Since the 504 Gateway Timeout error message is an issue with the web site's network or a server that it communicates with, everyone visiting this site is probably experiencing the same problem as you.

3. Chances are an issue like that has already been brought to the attention of an administrator at the web site and someone is working to resolve it.

If you can't wait any longer for the problem to be resolved or if you'd like to help out, you may want to attempt to contact the webmaster or another website contact yourself and advise them of the 504 Gateway Timeout error you are receiving.

4. As always, try clearing the caches and browsing history and relaunch the browser and try again. If that doesn't help, you might want to switch to another web browser.

Can you, by the way, show us the link so that we can confirm this is the error caused by the Wikipedia server?
