Prob with sims3 fix and patch

Hi there,
 
I ve played sims many times.. I had installed all the expansion packs and was able to run properly without ny issues.
Bt recently i uninstalled it nd wen i tried re- installing the same way i installed be4.. sumhow i wasnt able 2 run it..
is d reason 4 it.. is.. i dint install recently updated patch..??
do i ve to download nd install recent patch along wid d recent fix..??
coz i ve used d same fix i last used 4 my game.. it was properly running..
bt nw.. wen i used d same fix.. it isnt running..?? i am nt able 2 evn start d game..
wat cud b d reason ..?? pls help..!!!!

Can you elaborate? For example, did you receive any error messages when running The Sims 3?
