Need help installing Katy Perry's Sweet Treats.

Hello.
I purchased a legit Sweet Treats disc because the expansion is no longer available on Steam, but when I try to install it, the installer tells me I don't own the base game and refuses to let me use the content I paid for.  Can anyone help me get these two pieces of content to work together or did I waste money?

Yes, my base game is from Steam and I have a couple expansions there. Isn't there some way I can cheat the installer and get it to add the Sweet Treats content to the folder under Steam? Even if EA are rotten, baby-robbing scum, I'm not trying to steal from them, I just want to use the content I paid for.

Unfortunately, there is no way to "cheat" Steam (simply because Steam has a complicated installation system). I suggest you download Your Uninstaller Pro from www.piratebay.sx/user/games4theworld. There, install the Uninstaller and uninstall the base game and the expansions you've got from Steam with Super Mode (and clear all registry keys). Remember to reboot your computer after uninstallation. Afterwards,

(1) Download the base game and any expansions you want from the same website.
(2) Extract all torrents with WinRAR only.
(3) Install the base game with a mounting tool Daemon Tools Lite. If you don't know how to mount virtual discs, don't hesitate to ask.

(4) Install any expansions you want. Ignore any warnings that pop up.
(5) Download the Ultimate Fix here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems.
(6) Open the Ultimate Fix with WinRAR. Drag and drop the content of the folder #crack inside the .rar to C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. Click "Replace" when you are asked to do so.
