Need Help. [SOLVED]

Hi Guys

this is a bit of a weird one I was busy on my game sis 3 obviously I minimised it to do something left the room my game still minimised entered the room to resume playingdouble clicked on minimised sims and it popped up black screen which is all normal then it minimised again
I double clicked it again and the same thing, I have deleted all my caches created new sims 3 folder and its minimizing as soon as the load screen starts
I cannot get it to stay on screen, it keeps minimising, I have no idea what to do to get it to start and stay on screen so I'm in here seeking help

Sorry to hear you're having such issues with your game!

What I've gathered from your post is basically that your game keeps minimizing itself?  Whenever you minimize it and pull it back up, you are right that the screen will be black but it SHOULD load the game back up for you like you never minimized it (this can take longer for some slow/old PCs especially if it's minimized for quite some time. A few hours+, for example.).

My question to you is:  Do you frequently minimize your game?  When you say it "keeps minimizing", do you mean it minimizes the game RIGHT when you pull it up, or you play for a bit and it minimizes again?  Have you tried the atl+tab option to pull back up the game? Has this ever been a problem in the past, or is this a new problem with your game?  Are you running on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8?

It can be hard determining what it is that is causing it.  However, the most common reason is that your system minimizes the game to alert you of an issue, even a simple pop-up.  Basically it's trying to call attention to something else.  Check to see if it may be your antivirus or firewall.  Those two programs tend to be big attention seekers and they can easily throw you out of fullscreen mode off and on, at random. It can also be a silently running program in the background!

Other than that, did you recently install any new mods?  Sometimes outdated mods or conflicting mods can make your game do super weird stunts, from crashing to sims glitching all over the place - the list is long.
I highly suggest you move your 'Mods' folder (if you have one) to your desktop and boot your game that way.  See if that helps.  I can't promise anything, as normally the problem IS your PC and not the game, but we can always test a few things to exclude them from the list of possible headache-creators.

I feel a bit silly now its fixed its self,  I should have said its quite a high spec new machine, after trying everything Last night I decided to restore my game, then restated my Pc and the game ran fine. Thanks for your suggestions anyway
