Unable to start game

Hi,


I was re-install windows 7 hours ago, and I was going to play sims 3 (with full eps and installed correctly) but I got an error when I tried to start game:

-On the launcher: The installation is incomplete and The Sims 3 cannot run. Please reinstall and try again
-Launch Directly on TS3W.exe: Unable to start game Service initialization failed (0x039e8474)








also PLEASE NO ABOUT SAYING "REINSTALL THE GAME HURDUR" I'VE DELETED ALL OF MY INSTALLERS BECAUSE ITS ATE UP HALF OF MY DRIVE.

This means there are problems of compatibility between 2 mods. Do you have any mods?

Oh hey thanks for the reply. 

Well I was installed overwatch before I re-install windows. but I guess its was wiped out after I clean drive C tho... (I mean Sims's document folder.)

Well, try this again. Rename/Delete the whole folder C:\User\(your computer name)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3.

Please let us know the result.

Still the same though.

Anyway, I'm curious why sims 3 still has "installed mod warning" when I was even deleted my sims document folder. (maybe the mod was already built-in :S)

Please (re-)do steps 2-4 of this guide again: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly. Please (re-)download the manual patch and the Ultimate Fix.

In the meantime, are you sure you started your game with a clean folder (without mods)?

 Yes I did, anyway I'll try soon.

UPDATE: Run the update, got "The setup has detected that no version of The Sims 3 is installed"

Guess only way is re-install.... for   sake

Yes, but after uninstalling, do take time to read this guide (IMPORTANT): http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS3_Uninstall. Follow every single instruction in this guide and reboot your pc.

Meh then, Time to download again.. but maybe later.

Welp sorry, but I'd better try again rather than wasting time downloading :S its should be any way to work it out... maybe just because sims 3 missing their reg? (Since as I said I was re-installed windows)

First of all, please don't double-post. Edit your previous post instead if you want to add something.

Second, I am afraid this problem cannot be solved by altering the registry, or you could if you are an experienced programmer. If you are good at programming, you can try to fix the base game by changing the registry and fixing the base game directory.

However, as cynical as it may sound, reinstallation is the only resort that you have.
