Cities XL Platinum. [SOLVED]

Recently, I bought a cracked cd for Cities XL Platinum. But whenever I tried to install it, there's an error popped up. It says
"C:\Cities XL Platinum\Paks\land_lakepowell_01.pak

  An error occurred while trying to copy a file:
  Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

  Click Retry to try again, Ignore to skip (not recommended), or Abort to cancel installation."

I clicked retry like 7 times already but still. it still says the same thing. What should I do?

You can always try clicking "Ignore".
If the game causes problems afterwards, then try updating it to the latest version via a downloadable patch.

Almost forgot, I downloaded one of the game's update patch but when I tried to install it, it says 

"Game installation not found - aborting"

Hello again,

That's what I suspected in my first reply; the CD (or the content) is somehow damaged or faulty. You can still try giving the CD to someone else, like I said at first.

I'm sorry to hear that you actually spent money on that CD, but there is nothing much left that comes to my mind, besides searching for a .torrent of that game (on Piratebay or somewhere else). But maybe another Helper or Moderator knows more about that.
