Crashing Problems :(

Hi everyone, Im new here.

I have a Dell XPS 15 (L521x) with Windows 8. I've been playing Sims 3 on it practically since I got the laptop (not even a year ago) and I've never once had a problem. The other day, my computer automatically updated my graphics driver and I've been having problems ever since. My computer crashed the first time I tried to play after the update. I couldn't even get the computer to work normally after that. I tried to restore it to a previous date and it still didn't work. I had no choice but to refresh and decided I would just reinstall The Sims. My last save was still available but every time I tried to load the game, my laptop completely shut off. Sometimes the game would load (everything looked and worked normally) and 2 minutes later my computer would suddenly shut off. I never get any error messages or crash reports when this happens. Today, I decided I would try to just start a new game. I did and my computer didn't shut off that time. I only played for about 5 minutes. So now I'm wondering if the crashing has to do with my graphics driver, overheating, or the save itself.



EDIT:
I went back and played my new game and after about 10 minutes my laptop shut off again. It doesn't do this any other time. My laptop doesn't seem to be overheating. Help anyone??....
