Hello,
Usually when you run Windows for the first time, there should be an option to create a "Recovery disc". I guess it's too late for that now.
You can buy "Recovery discs", if I'm not mistaken - I know I did a long time ago.
If that's not an option, then you can always download a Windows 7 .ISO image and burn that one on a disc. Then boot your PC from the disc and you can start installing Windows from there.
Two things:
1. Use an "Untouched" download preferably.
2. Our Windows 7 download unfortunately doesn't have the boot files, so you can't use ours to boot and install with.

Hello,
You can't create a Windows 7 "Recovery disc" on a Windows Vista system, if that's what you mean.
Or put the Vista on your PC and then upgrade to Windows 7.
Yes, that might work as well, yes, but an upgrade is never recommended. I personally recommend doing a clean installation.

Hello,
Yes, no problem, you do not need the Operating System to be running for that anyway.
I'm just afraid that you won't be able to use the Games4theworld version o f Windows 7, as you can not boot from that .ISO.

Could Not PM so I placed it here
Good Morning Lisa I had this same problem I purchased 3 REAL copies of windows 7 64 Bit that I purchased via My Wife's College Sale for my PC's unfortunately I did not name the CD's with my name or everyone in my families name so if I had a problem I could just reformat and install my copy of said operating system. I purchased these cd's when windows 7 came out. Fortunately for me I was able to find many copies of windows 7 that could be installed thru DOS or windows. I have been doing this since Windows 7 came out sadly having the problem of not knowing which cd was for my PC the second time I had to install one of the Os's that were out on those forums and of my lack of virus programs installed. I finally was able to get a Virus program which is the free AVG virus install. My answer to you is to download windows 7 from a site that I have been using for the past few years. It has all the programs installed I only had to update to the latest version thru windows update. I will send you a private message with the link of the windows I have downloaded and as of yet which is about 3 months have yet to have an issue with said DL. Check your P. Messages and you shall find the link to said OS. Trust that there are no viruses on this install as I would hate that as well. Since I am the family PC guru in my home believe that this install will be in good working order. More to be said in the P. Message I send you. I no longer use this site but am in good standing with Lady Eldi and the Admin here, I left due to other folks terrible way of handling issues of this site but still come to see if this site may have something new to offer or ways of installing the Sims 3. I shall send the information via the PM service that is here. Sorry I could not send a PM so I shall put it here.lisapatno wrote:yeah put the vista on my pc....would i be able to a clean installation after the vista is on there?
