The Sims 3 Ultimate fix not working Empty The Sims 3 Ultimate fix not working

Post by Guest Sun 29 Dec 2013, 07:09

Hi,
First off great job you guys are doing here. Recently, I have not been able to get the ultimate fix to work. I just reinstalled windows 7 on my desktop and started from scratch with everything. All the expansions installed perfectly and then I applied the ultimate fix from the #crack folder. However, the same thing is happening: the game's green bar loads to about 97% or so and just sits there hanging. Please help me with this issue if you can. It never did that before this last time and even with a fresh reinstall of windows and sims, it is still doing so.

Thanks.

Hello,

This is not a problem about the "Ultimate fix". Wink  If it was, you wouldn't be able to even start the game, as you would get an error saying "insert disc...".

Are you using any mods ? If so, remove them all for now. Then go to My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 and delete the file scriptCache.package.

As a more 'radical' method, you can also go to
My Documents/Electronic Arts/ and rename the folder "The Sims 3". Just change the folder's name into anything you like.

Re-start the game and let us know if that worked !

P.S. Try the method with removing the mods first, and then go on with renamin the folder "The Sims 3".
