Sims 3 game freezes when trying to load the town.

Games i have bought:
Sims 3, Sims 3 Pets,Sims 3 seasons

Games i got for free: 
Sims 3 Island Paradise

Problem:
My game loads fine. It loads all the way to the screen to choose the town and i have tried choosing every town. When i chose a town and press the check another loading screen pops up and loads like 2 percent and then freezes. Nothing. Nothing happens. I have to close my laptop and when i open it again the message pops up something like game had stopped working close program. Please please help me. I have been trying to play this game for a long time. and i feel so so close but so far away.
