i can'y update store for sims 3

hi
i fallow the instruction. the game works, but when i try to update the store, there is a massege, can't reache EA Dowload manager. When must I install the EADM? with the sims 3 base game, or with the generations? thx

i follow all the instructions, but when i come to step 11 from the The Sims 3 Update / Ultimate Fix- Installation Guide, there is a message, can't reach EA download manager, if i refresh, same message. I installed the game so as you say in *MUST READ* How to install The Sims 3 correctly. *MUST READ*
