Hi Team, i am not able to install the Sims 3 on my laptop. [SOLVED]

I do not have any expansion pack, i tried tempoarary fix with the patch but it still does not work.
The cursor just keeps on rotataing and nothing happens.
Please help.

The fix doesn't work with just the base game, please read this and install at least one of the expansionpacks or stuff packs mentioned in step 1.

Hello,
The temporary fix works even when the user has only the base game installed. Sourm89 probably used the Ultimate Fix along with the temporary fix (they cannot be applied together), causing this problem.
I recommend you (re-)run the manual patch. (Download link just in case you update the base game via the launcher: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v166-fix-manual-patch)
After that you should be able to play with only the base game installed.

For the record, the problem was taken care via the chatbox. The temporary fix can be applied with only the base game installed. He has used files in the temporary fix (the folder "All the expansions after Generations") other than the content of the folder # Crack, and this has caused the game to go haywire.
