Patch Error when trying to download Empty Patch Error when trying to download

So I am trying to download the manual patch but every time i try it starts downloading, the time till completion goes up then it shows my download speed and finally stops downloading and shows a "failed - network error" message, there is nothing wrong with my network so it feels like there must be something wrong with the patch? i downloaded it once before but when i tried to install i got an error message, i found a solution to that on this forum saying to redownload the patch which i'm trying to do but it won't download!!!!!!!!!! is there any help/suggestions you can make?

Have you tried BOTH links here ?

There's one from the official EA server and the other one is from "MEGA". Try both links. Also, if it doesn't work, try later again.

Plus, in your browser (if it's Firefox or Chrome) press Ctrl + Shift + Delete. In the next window choose "Cache" and "Cookies"; and click "OK"/"Confirm" at the bottom. This will basically delete your browser cache and cookies. Re-start the browser then - and try again.

dunno if those suggestions work but i decided to start downloading with the only other browser on my laptop the dreading IE  Laughing  and as of now it is 95% with no problems so i'll let you know if it works (the patch works, as i got an error before when trying to open the first one i downloaded!)
