I'm extremely new, please help!

Okay so I went to games4theworld downloads and found the sims 3 base game and clicked it. I downloaded the torrent and when it finished, I opened it with WinAce and I only saw one ISO Image file which was the Startup Disk, but that's it. Nothing else was there. I keep seeing this second iso file on the video tutorial, along with a #Crack folder, (I don't see that anywhere either) but all I have is this one startup disk iso and I'm pretty sure I'm missing something. 

PLEASE HELP!!!

I also don't have much experience with Iso, Daemon Tools and things alike. Maybe I have everything I need and I'm just being an idiot. I don't know.

So have you tried opening with WinRAR.?
If not try that please and you have to get "start disk" and "disk 1".... so extract it with WinRAR and let us know the results....
If that still doesn't work please inform us so we can help you further

Downloaded and opened with WinRAR and Disk 1 and the #Crack folder is now visible. So WinAce was the problem.

I'm glad your problem is solved  but PLEASE make sure you apply the Ultimate Fix NOT the crack folder....

Ok so far I've downloaded and installed the base game, Sims 3: University Life, and Sims 3: Generations. 

I've downloaded but not yet installed Ambitions, Showtime, Seasons, Pets, Fast Lane Stuff and Town Life Stuff.

Now I'm applying the Ultimate Fix and I just want to ensure I don't make any mistakes. After watching the installation video I noticed that certain fixes for expansions go into the base game folder and others go into their own respective folders. So far I've only copied and replaced the fix for the base game, and I'm a little confused as to where to put the fixes for University Life and Generations, as well as the other expansions once I've installed them.

Any advice?

NO, YOU DO NOT NEED ANYTHING FOR ANY OF THE EXPANSION/STUFF PACKS.
First of all have you updated your game with the manual patch found here.
After you download the patch and updated to latest version get the Ultimate Fix here.
When you open the Ultimate Fix go straightly to #Crack folder and copy the content of that folder and paste it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.
And make sure you overwrite(copy and replace) the files.....
That should do it!
Please don't skip any of the things that I stated!  
Let us know the results....

First install all the expansions and stuff packs you want...Then once you are done with that...Open the #crack folder in the ultimate fix and place the 2 files in the folder TW3W.exe and TSLHost.dll to c:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin...
