Help installing Age Of Empires 3. [SOLVED]

Okay so i downloaded the Age Of Empires torrent and followed the instructions exactly (i am pretty sure i did at least) but when i go to start the game it says "Age Of Empires 3 has stopped working, windows is checking for a solution" then closes immediately. I tried restarting my computer but it did not help, anyone have any idea what i have done wrong?

Okay i will try this one instead (it took me a while to work out which image hosts worked better) but this one should work.

I have read on the comments section of this torrent on thepiratebay that one or two more people have had a similar problem, with a message popping up saying "age of empires has known compatibility issues." So i was wondering if someone may have solved this issue

Yes, I got that error too, but then after a few hours of playing.
Anyhow, please run the game in Windows XP Service pack 3 compability mode. Should make a difference.

I installed it on my other computer which has XP and it works fine, i wonder why it doesn't work with windows 7.. Anyway thanks, you were a great help

If you'd like to play it on your Windows 7 PC too, you should play in Windows XP Compability mode.
