Do you happen to be playing on a (very oooolld) laptop? Or is it a Desktop PC?

If it's a laptop, what's the exact brand and model?
If it's a desktop PC, what is your GPU model?

And: it seems like you're running the game on Windows 8(.1). Is it 64bit or 32bit?


In the meantime, also try running the game in Windows XP SP3 compatibility. Right-click on the game's .exe file and choose the "Compatibility" tab. Now select "Windows XP SP3" from the dropdown menu. Also select the box that makes the game run as an Administrator.
Apply the settings and try again.

Well. This computer is not that old. I have a Inspiron 3521 silm Just a bit crappy  
Also when I did what you said above windows asked me to install directplay now it works it seems.
