The Sims Medieval - No disc even after expansion & fix

Hello. I've been going through several pages of this site looking for an answer to my problem, but so far I can't seem to find a solution. I found threads with similar problems but they weren't of any help. 
I installed The Sims Medieval & Pirates and Nobles + the ultimate fix. The game is also completely up to date.

I've installed everything correctly as I'm not really new to this process, but regardless I get a "Insert disc"-message and options to either retry or quit the game, but it doesn't show up until after the first loading screen. I also tried to launch the game via. the TSM.exe instead of the launcher, but that didn't work either.   

I really wanna try this game, and I've installed and un-installed it about two times hoping that if I had made a mistake without knowing, it would be fixed - but nothing works.

I did all the steps you told me to, but it still refuses to work. I get the same "Insert disc" message.

A more simplified way would be to install the base game first. Then update the game either with the launcher, or use the update that is included in the "Pirates/Nobles" expansion, under Support/Updates.


Next, install the actual P/N expansion. Then use the fix from here:

Please make sure to apply the #crack correctly. The location is C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims Medieval\Game\Bin. Please REPLACE all existing files.

As the previous poster said, it's a good idea to start the game with the TSM.exe in C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims Medieval\Game\Bin.

but that's already what I've done several times. including trying the method the other user provided.
