Sims 3 problem while installing on Windows 8 (?)

Hey

I spent the night installing the Sims 3 Razor1911 on my cousins laptops and all went well. Until I tried to install on a windows 8... I don't know if it has to do with being Windows 8 or if his the anti virus. But on the others everything worked.
After putting the serial key, when the game is installing, almost at the end it asks for the disk... I can't understand why. Can someone help me?

I haven't tried to install the sims base from this site because it was kinda confusing that StartDisk and Disk1 thing... Razor1911 was simpler.

My base game is actually from Razor too. Razz

Yes, I used it because it was a .RAR file; is your download a .RAR file too ? If yes, make an empty folder somewhere.

Next, open the .RAR download (with WinRAR). You really need to pay attention that you extract ALL THE CONTENTS of the .RAR, into the empty folder you just made. Otherwise, it won't work !

After you extracted all the contents, go to that folder. And re-start the installation with the "autorun.exe". Good luck ! That should do, normally...
