Windows 7 won't load?
Hey,
I recently downloaded your Windows 7 torrent, and I'm having a little trouble getting it to run. I read that it wasn't bootable, so I tried to run it through "mycomputer", and it gives me that whole "A program needs your permission to continue" pop-up, but after that..nothing. I'm not sure if I burned the disc incorrectly (which is totally possible - I'm not really computer-savvy, as you can probably tell, lol. ), or if there's another problem. Occasionally, the "loading" cursor will replace the original one, for like a split second, but that's about it.
I'm currently running Windows Vista on this computer. Any ideas of what might be going on?
Thanks for reading~!

Hello,
First of all, do you have any important data on your computer ? If so, you might want to back up all the data, onto an external source, like an external hard-drive or re-writable DVDs.
Then, did you burn the .ISO image of the download to a DVD ? You need (of course) an empty DVD, which you insert in your disc drive. Then, depending on your burning software, you need to burn the .ISO image to that DVD. I have "Ashampoo Burning Studio", and in my case the option is called "Burn a CD/DVD/Blu-Ray disc from a Disc image". The wording might be different in other burning programs of course. But look for an option which says that you can burn "images" to discs - something along these lines.
After you burned the DVD, turn off the computer. The tricky part now is that you open the BIOS, and the way to do that depends on your motherboard type. For now, try pressing the DELETE key (while the computer is OFF), and while holding that key, turn the computer ON. Keep the key pressed until you maybe get into the BIOS. That's usually a kind of "menu" if you wish, with a blue background color. Let me know if you can enter the BIOS that way, but sometimes, you need to press F12 instead of DELETE.
What is now difficult to explain is that you look in the BIOS and change the settings so that the computer boots from the CD drive, and not from your hard disk; look at the bottom of the BIOS menu - all the time there should be instructions which keys can be used to edit the settings - often you'll need the arrow keys and the "enter/return" key too, along with some others.
Save the BIOS settings, and the computer will re-boot, and start from the DVD. Then the installation of Windows 7 *should* start.
Again, the part with the BIOS is difficult to explain, and I can't do that for you either, since "TeamViewer" is useless in that case, lol. You will have to spend a (little) bit of time, figuring out how your BIOS works.
If you have more questions, I'll try to assist you with that, but for now: good luck !

Re: Windows 7 won't load?
Hi,
Thanks for your reply! I was able to do what you suggested, after a few tries..but for some reason, it still wouldn't load. I then tried to run it again from "mycomputer", but after a while a message saying "The file 'autorun.dll' could not be loaded, or is corrupt. Setup cannot continue. Error code is [0x3E7]".
Should I delete and reinstall the entire torrent or?
Thanks for the help!

I'm not exactly sure what is "happening" on your computer, but if you really configured your BIOS to boot from the CD/DVD drive, then after a re-boot, the computer will automatically start "from the DVD", and you shouldn't have to click on anything, actually. You can try burning the .ISO image to another empty DVD disc, and try again. Other than that, I'm afraid I can't help much more; as I said, I can't do this for you, because "TeamViewer" is not an option.
You might want to check out this thread here, by fellow Moderator Narong:

Maybe that will be a bit easier for you...but let's see.
//EDIT
And you should always extract contents of .RAR files with WinRAR, to avoid any possible problems with the extracted data.
