Office 2010 command window instantly closing in activator

So I downloaded Office 2010 a few months ago and installed it fine and it worked, but then my sister uninstalled it. So now a few months later I'm trying to install it again using the same .rar file that I downloaded before, but it doesn't work.

I install the actual Office 2010 fine (I think) through the Autorun file in the folder, but then when I open the activator and click "Install/Uninstall KMService" (or any of the options available) the command window pops up for a second then disappears instantly.
I've tried a lot of stuff: using all the other activators, uninstalling and reinstalling, turning off my anti-virus, I've made sure I'm running it as an administrator, but it still doesn't work.

Please help!! I've got school work that I've got to do on Office by Tuesday Crying or Very sad

Hello,

If you're running Windows Vista or later, go to C:\Windows\System32 and look for the cmd.exe. Right-click on it and go to "Properties". Under "compatibility" can you change the settings ? Choose "run as Administrator", and confirm with clicking on "Apply", then "OK".

Then try again the activator. Also, do you still have the original .RAR of the download ? If so, can you first turn off your anti-virus completely, and THEN re-extract the activators again from the .RAR ? Then re-try the activator.

I just re-downloaded the whole .rar file and tried to install it again, but it still didn't work.
And when I tried to go to the Properties > Compatibility, I was unable to change the settings.

Hi there,

If it's really important, use our Office 2007 download. That one is install & go and does not require any kind of activation!
And it's pretty much the same as 2010.
