How to unlock a door. [SOLVED] Empty How to unlock a door. [SOLVED]

Good Afternoon

I just finished Building a house that  i like. When i finished it i decided to move my sims to that new house that i build. But the problem is the door won't open. It's lock. My sim coudn't get through. I just want to ask how will i unlock the door so that my sim can go inside the house.

You usually click on the door with a sim, I think you need an adult sim selected and the lock options will show up. I believe they are lock for 'everyone,' everyone but household', 'pets', or certain sims. You might have to do walls up to click on the door if you're using walls down or cutaway. If that doesn't work you can always just delete the door and get a new one.

Hello,

Yes, what the previous poster said. Smile  But by default, the doors are NOT locked by the game, unless you do it. You might also want to try going into buy mode again, and then replacing the door. Good luck !

Good Evening,

I just figure out why my sims can't get inside the house.
I just forgot to put a foundation in order to make a stairs infront of the door. That's is the solution you just have to make a foundation for the stairs.
 
Problem now was solved.

Actually, you don't necessarily need a foundation to connect stairs to another foundation, and hence a door. Smile  The stairs can be on the ground too, and then will "connect" to the nearby foundation.
